My name is Amaya Lota, and I’m a 12-year-old author who LOVES to write silly and fun stories for kids—just like you! I wrote my very first book, The Silly Cupcake, when I was just 10 years old. And guess what? I didn’t stop there! I’m back with my second book, The Silly Cupcake’s Adventures, full of even more giggles, excitement, and cupcake fun!

I live in sunny Orlando, Florida, with my amazing family, and when I’m not writing, you’ll find me doing some of my favorite things—playing soccer, dancing, acting in theater, organizing my room (yes, for real!), and trying out new hairstyles.

But here’s something you might not know about me… When I was in 4th grade, I actually struggled with reading. I was scared of big words and didn’t think I’d ever love books. But with lots of love and support from my mom, I started over—and I did it! Now I’m not only a reader, but also a real author! That’s why I always tell kids: if I can do it, you can too.
